Bonjour

Je suis John Margetts - Je vis en Angleterre, dans la ville de Lincoln.

Je collectionne des appareils photo depuis environ 12 ans maintenant. J'ai un blog "vieille caméra" sur www.oldcamera.blog

J'utilise le site de Sylvain depuis quelques années mais je ne me suis pas rendu compte de l'étendue des installations ici jusqu'à aujourd'hui - je l'ai expliqué à mon pauvre français.

En passant, j'écris ceci en anglais et en utilisant Google pour le traduire en français.

To Register (in english) : ucp.php?mode=register

Click on button "J'accepte ces conditions" (which means “I agree with conditions”).
On the next page, go to “langue” and set the language to “British English”.
The remaining pages to be used to complete your registration as well as FAQ pages shall then be made available to you already translated into English.


Nom d’utilisateur = login

Démarrage d’un nouveau fil de discussion

When your message is dedicated to a particular camera, you must always insert into the title of the message the name of the camera manufacturer between square brackets and without space (e.g. [Agfa] Isolette : stuck shutter problem).
The manufacturer entire name must not be from capital letters but the initial letter only.
Please note that the model of the camera must not be inserted between the brackets.

This part of the forum receives all messages relevant to general matters concerning camera collecting as far as they are not the subject of other specific sections of the forum


Demandes d’identification

You may use this section of the forum if you face an identification problem with one of your camera.
Your message must cover only one camera.
To be complete and efficient, your request for identification of a camera should contain the following information.

• General form of the camera : folding camera, box camera, SLR, TLR, compact camera etc....
• Main material : Metal, plastic, wood, bakelite etc...
• Approximate dimensions (metric preferred)
• Weight ( heavy, very heavy, light)
• Body and bellow ( if any) colours
• Writings on lens
• Writings on camera body ( front, rear, bottom etc..)
• Writtings inside the camera
• Range of speeds offered by the shutter
• Miscellaneous other information that may be helpful for identification

You must also insert photos of the camera

Important: As soon as the camera is identified, you must edit your first message to insert in the title the name of the manufacturer between square brackets followed by the model of the camera


Demandes d’estimation

If you wish to know how much one of your camera worth, you may post a message in this section of the Forum.
But be aware that camera collecting is a matter of passion ....and not of money.
For good practice, please describe honestly and objectively your camera (aspect and functioning) and attach a photo to your message.
Only one camera per message.


Réparation et entretien

How to maintain or repair your camera ?
Where to find necessary spare parts ?
Who can do it for you ?
If you face such a problem, this is the good place inside the forum to ask for help.


Utilisation des appareils anciens

If you wish to use your old camera but if you don’t know how to use it. Ask advises to other members in this particular part of the forum.
Before asking, you must know that a lot of users manuals are available in this website.


Petites annonces de ventes avec prix obligatoire

This section of the forum allows you to post a message if you wish to sale one of your cameras.
Only collectible cameras may be offered for sale
Your message must include an honest description of your camera, a photo of the item and the price of it.
Answers from forum members shall be made through e-mail only.
