Chronology of cameras Canon
Traduction de Manuel M
Canon F-1 was developed to oversee the range of the brand. It aimed at the professional customers and Canon thus hoped to get the customers of Nikon, whose Nikon F was adulated by the reporters.
The product design of the camera was rather long, in order to integrate the best of the moment. At its release, the camera profited from the very new mounting of lens of the brand, the FD. It allowed a complete automatism of the exposure.
Canon announced proudly that the camera was cut out for 100,000 releases and a use without concern during 10 years, whatever the climatic conditions. An only revision during this period however was advised by the manufacturer.
The shutter is equipped with a metal curtain. It allows speeds B, 1,1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000 second.
The prism is interchangeable and can be replaced by viewfinders known as “fast”.
