This compact auto-focus camera, equipped with a zoom 38 - 120 mm have a very neat design (aluminum body)
The viewfinder covers 84% of the field really photographed. The field corresponding to the focal distance is indicated by a frame. The minimal distance for focusing of 60 centimetres, but the macro mode makes it possible to limit the distance from 43 to 58 centimetres. The viewfinder indicates the field if the macro mode is engaged.
In the viewfinder, a green diode is lit when all is OK for the photograph. It starts to flicker when the subject to be photographed is too close. An orange diode indicates that the flash is ready with release.
The control of exposure is entirely programmed. The measure is evaluative on three areas. It is possible to manually compensate for the exposure to + 1.5. The Spot measure is available with the Spot mode.
Five programs modes are available besides the Auto mode: Spot, Sport, night scene, macro, portrait.
The lens 38-120 /4, 5-10,9 consists of seven lenses including one aspheric, distributed in 6 groups.
The viewfinder is equipped with a dioptric corrector.
Coding DX covers the sensitivities from 25 to 3200 Iso.
The flash, integrated very well into the design, a number-guide of 15.4, has an anti- red eyes mode. It can be forced, disconnected.
This model is not manufactured any more since 2003.
