Although it is classified in the category “general public”, Eos 300 has nevertheless the principal characteristics of “greatest”.
It can be used as well by the beginner, with his automatic modes and preset (portrait, landscape, close-up, sports, night), as by the user-experts, with the modes programs, priority aperture and speed, manual, and mode zones automatic neatness (mode A-DEP: the photographer defines on the camera an area of neatness to be respected between two distant points and the cameras does what is necessary so that all is net between these two points).
Correction and memorizing of exposure, double (or more) exposure, bracketting (series of 3 exposures taken with different exposures values) are also possible.
The focusing, with 7 collimators in the viewfinder, can be done in 3 ways: manually (adjustment M on the lens), in mode “a point” (release is possible only if the camera made the focusing correctly) and, finally, the AI-Servo mode (following of a subject which moves, with, if necessary, automatic modification of the focusing).
A intern flash and the self-timer supplement the data sheet of this interesting camera body, which one can supply by a “grip” BP 200 (4 AA batteries instead of the 2 internal CR2); camera compatible with flashes EX in E-TTL (better management of the flash by the camera).
