Chronology of cameras Kiev

This unit was manufactured in Ukraine then still Soviet in the plant that gave birth to the famous Kiev IV, a copy of the Contax.

The Kiev 88 TTL is also more or less a copy of the Hasselblad 1000F. Moreover, it uses F-mount lenses, as Hasselblad. The 88 refers to the mount.

This 6 x 6 becomes TTL (light metering through the lens) when is installed the huge prism viewfinder, which can target horizontally. The light meter integrated to this accessory allows to determine the speed and aperture. To be fed, it takes three 1.5 volt batteries.

The back of this camera is interchangeable; It is to be noted that the basic kit provides two of them. The basic lens is Arsat 2,8 / 80 mm. The kit comprises the TTL viewfinder in addition to a hood type viewfinder.
