This camera for taking one hundred 30 x 45 mm views with non-perforated movie film is probably the distant ancestor of the Ambrosio from Turin. It is in any case the direct descendant of the Argo (or Argus) manufactured by Morsolin, the Italian manufacturer, which appeared in the Krauss catalog in 1922.
Production was small, and the copy presented here bears the No. 445, which puts it in half the production.
The Compur shutter is double adjustable. A selector marked ZDM determines the choice between time (T) bulb (B) and instantaneous. If M is selected, then you must specify the speed on the second round selector.
The lens " Tessar Zeiss 1: 3.5 F-5 cm Bté E. Krauss Paris" is numbered 148,089.
The frame and the eyepiece of the viewfinder are raised and moved down automatically when the lens is pulled for use.
