Chronology of cameras Altic

This Altic model doesn't have a specific model name. There's simply a "110" inscription on the front of the housing. The camera consists of two parts: a seemingly waterproof housing, although lacking a proper seal, providing only splash protection, and a 110 camera with an electronic flash, lacking any notable features.

On the housing, a label indicates it was manufactured in Hong Kong. The camera itself is entirely black, except for the shutter button which is red. It doesn't bear any specific markings. Blocked openings in the plastic suggest that the mold was used for creating other models as well.

Inside the yellow housing, there are small plastic elements that facilitate the transmission between the external controls and the buttons on the camera.

Two side latches allow for closing the back of the housing. Despite their appearance, they don't provide any waterproofing.

The evident attempt to resemble the Minolta Weathermatic suggests an approximate dating to the early 1980s.

__________

The brand Altic was registered by 3 Suisses, a mail-order sales group similar to La Redoute, in 1961. The registration has been renewed several times since (No. 1709314). This brand is applied to various items, sometimes of poor quality, often given as gifts to customers. Occasionally, one of these gifts could be complemented with a paid item, such as a flash for a camera.
