Chronology of cameras Soho
There are two variations of the Soho Myna: The "all distance" which offers a fix focus system and a non pop-up type bellow and the "SK12" Which is of the pop-up type and has a cursor under the lens to set a focus distance between 6 feet and infinity . An second cursor allows for the choice between instant or time exposure. The distance must be set to infinity before closing the camera. (A warning plate located bellow the lens reminds it).
The Kershaw Penguin Eight 20, produced after Soho merged with Kershaw, is very similar to the Myna SK12. The strut system is also similar on the Kershaw Soho Raven which shows the two trademarks.
The lens board of the Myna SK12 is well finished. Black enameled, affixed by two screws and two rivets in square, its surface is surrounded and divided by thin silver filets limiting the zones containing texts.
The filets surrounding the lens remain straight. The other filets are curved toward the straight ones as if they were under attraction. Above the lens is "Soho Myna" on a black background while "Model SK12" appears bellow the lens on a red background. On the right side of the lens board is written the trademark and the city. On the left side is written "British made".
