Chronology of cameras APEM
History of the brand APEM

The company APM for Amalgamated Photographic Manufacturers, was founded in 1921. It brought together several constructors incorporating Rajar.
Released in 1929, the Rajar No. 6 is the first strut camera fully made of bakelite. Four struts keep the bellows in place when the device is in use.
The sector shutter provides only one speed (approximately 1/30) and offers T. There is no diaphragm in front of the simple meniscus which serves as a lens.
A small viewfinder can be tilted for use of the camera in the "landscape" mode.
In short, it is a extremely simple camera, but innovative in its shape and material. Kodak took inspiration from it a few years later to design the Hawkette.
