Chronology of cameras Ihagee

The camera shown here is the No 710 (catalog Ihagee) format 6.5 x 9 cm. In fact, this "Patent Duplex" is available in four formats:
• No. 710 size 6.5 x 9 cm, manufactured from 1924 to 1939,
• No. 720 size 9 x 12cm, manufactured from 1914 to 1939,
• No. 730 size 10 x 15 cm manufactured from 1914 to 1939,
• No. 740 size 13 x 18 cm unknown beginning and end of manufacturing.
The body was first designed in wood. From 1927, it became aluminum. At the same date also starts the serial numbering of the devices of the brand.
The back can receive plate holders, film sheets, also roll films.
The double shift is operated via a worm.screw.
I did not find any explanation for the origin of the assembly of a Kalart coupled rangefinder on this unit. It can be highlighted that there were also Saymon-Brown brand. rangefinders
The serial numbers of the cameras seen onthe net or in collections with this rangefinders suggest that they were mounted on such cameras in the 30s but we leave here certainties for assumptions.
