Chronology of cameras Gege
This unit is in my collection thanks to the donation of a colleague whom I thank again. It is with great emotion that I took possession of it .
Young teenager , I had received as a Christmas gift the box for scientific introduction to optics which allowed to build it . It seems to me that at the time I did not succeed to build it completely. By cons , it is certain to me is that this game has impressed me , it has been instrumental in my school guidance developing a particular interest in optics .
This device is therefore a toy ( certainly developed enough for the time) , but it can take pictures using cartridges " Rapid ". It was sort of the masterpiece of the box which proposed many optical experiments ( over 100 experiments ) coordinates. « Sciences futures OPTIQUE », the name of the box in France , was distributed by GéGé brand ( under license from Kosmos Franckh'sche Verlagshandlung W. Keller & Co. Stuttgart 1968 ) , he obtained a license from the Ministry of Education. The origin of this toy is probably German .
At the same time this game was also sold in Canada , the reference : " The OPTICAL LAB KIT ".
This device could receive two type of lens. Here it is presented with his "normal" lens ( in fact already a small 71.4 mm telephoto lens). A small telephoto lens could also be constructed and replace it. If a friend had the same box , An experience suggested the construction of a super telephoto lens with a focal length of 556 mm. With the lens of the box " microscope " from the same brand , it was proposed to produce macro photography with a 7.5 times magnification.
