Chronology of cameras Bencini
History of the brand Bencini New window

Traduction de David Bain, Grande-Bretagne

Continuing the construction of earlier Comet-series models, Bencini used aluminium. The shutter is rather more useful than before, though, with speeds of 1/50, 1/100 and B. There is a choice of two apertures - f9 and f16. The lens carries a distance scale. The camera's two most unusual features are, firstly, that the accessory shoe is under the camera and, secondly, the method of opening the back. Around the viewfinder is a knurled ring which looks, at first glance, like a dioptre adjustment. Turning it to unscrew it completely allows the back of the camera to be removed for loading and unloading.

This camera date from the end of 50s.
