Chronology of cameras Taron

This well-built and solid unit is in the standards of Japanese cameras of the 1950s.

Although this camera is fairly easy to find for sale on the Internet, sign of abundance, we find paradoxically little information about it.

It offers a good resemblance to the Taron 35 III but looking closer the stamping of the top cover is different.
The shutter is not a Copal but a Citizen and camera-wiki tells us that the internal mechanics of the rangefinder and the rewinding are different.

The Tarons were manufactured by Nippon Kōsokki also known as the manufacturer of the N.K.S. shutters.
