Chronology of cameras Agfa
Traduction de Sylvain Halgand
Silette is the generic name of a great series of cameras 35 mm built by Agfa lasting nearly 10 years, about since 1955. The models of this series are for certain very widespread, from where a general disaffection for the series. Personally, I find interesting the idea to gather all the models of this one.
This Silette is the model of origin, gone back to 1956. Its lens of 3,5/45 mm and its shutter Pronto (1/200 secondes) do not make of it an outstanding part of the history of the cameras. Its fast winding lever is certainly less widespread among the cameras equivalent of the time.
I regularly note two signs of wear on this camera when I see it on the secondhand trades.
The Agfa logo ( left side of the front face, on the preparing) lost its color to become black, at the point to be almost invisible.
The metal of the rectangular plate which supports the shutter/lens block is mildewed, as by a mould.
