Chronology of cameras Ernemann

Traduction Manuel M

It is about a folding camera out of varnished teak, and with the metal items of structure out of brass in the tradition of the “colonial/tropical” cameras of the beginning of the 20th century. Although Germany did not have a colonial empire of big size, its photographic industry built many cameras of this type.

Format of plate 9x12 cm, lens Ernemann Doppel Anastigmat 6,8/13,5 cm n° 17xxx.
Shutter Chronos 1 to 1/100, B, T and 1/300.
Revolving clear viewfinder with associated spirit level and iconometric viewfinder with diopter with reticle, which get out and go back in the body at the moment of the opening and the closing of the flap.
Vertical and horizontal off-centring by endless screw.
Bellows Havana leather.

The base plates of the compasses of opening of the flap are fixed at a plate which can slide in a rail with U-shape, that makes it possible to open the flap beyond the orthogonal position in relation to the body.

Two scales of focusing, on the left of the bellows, traditional type 2m-INF and on the right of bellows, marked scale “HL - infinite” parallel at the edge of the flap.
