Chronology of cameras Busch

The Pressman is a press camera, a direct competitor to the Graflex Crown and Speed Graphic.

The build quality is exemplary for this camera entirely made of lightweight alloy. Less known than Graflex, the Busch Pressman offered an interesting alternative with better finishing, significantly larger tilt and shift movements, and superior craftsmanship. The back is rotatable, allowing the camera to be kept in a horizontal position at all times for both horizontal and vertical shots.

In May 1952, this camera, without a lens, cost $105. A Graflite flash, on the other hand, cost approximately $39. Compared to its competitors, the Busch brand had much less presence in American photography magazines in the 1950s. In Popular Photography, the Pressman appeared only a few times in 1952. Previously, Busch advertised the Vérascope F40, for which it seems to have been the American distributor.
