This has been the first Minolta fitted with an integrated electronic flash. Less sophisticated than the F (itself simplified compared to the E), it loses the rangefinder in favor of five icons visible in the viewfinder.
The built-in flash pops up when activated and its presence has forced the rewind crank to be moved under the soleplate.
The cell and the flash are powered by two utmost common AA batteries.
