Chronology of cameras Blair

This camera, the successor to the Weno Stereo, is, like it, under the Blair brand, with no mention of Kodak, which only appears in 1907 ("Blair Camera Division of Eastman Kodak Company"). It was built from 1904 to 1907, followed by other very similar cameras:

- Stereo Hawk-Eye models 3 and 4, from 1907 to 1911
- Stereo Hawk-Eye models 5 and 6, from 1912 to 1913

Some of these were equipped with a spirit level.

It differs from the Weno in:

- its Bausch and Lomb Automat Stereo shutter (released in 1904), recognizable by its circular speed dial. (The Weno being equipped with a Bausch and Lomb Simplex Stereo) Speeds T, B, and from 1 second to 1/100th,
- a distance adjustment with a wheel and rack,
- a foldable sports viewfinder similar to a music stand,
- adjustable vertical decentering by key,
- the winding key replaced by a ring.

The camera received the usual Bausch and Lomb Rapid Rectilinear lenses, but on the presented specimen, these were replaced by Goerz Dagor lenses (Tessar formula) with a focal length of 120 mm, open at f/6.8.

The diaphragm control is graduated from 4.6 to 192.

The format remains unchanged with two images of 8 x 8 cm. A 118 film (8 x 10.5 cm) remained inside the camera, but it seemed possible to load it with 101 film (9 x 9 cm) as well, considering the spring axle receiver's range and the size of the inside of the camera housing.

The combination of mahogany for the drop-down, copper for the shutter, and the red bellows gives it a warm appearance.
