Chronology of cameras Polaroid

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

The launch of Zip in France coincided with the 25th birthday of first Polaroid. It left in 1972, at the same time as Big Shot. It replaced Swinger, with the bottom of the range (less than 100 francs). For this model, the loading was simplified. Charger 8 provides almost square images N&B or colors (8,2 X 8,6 cm). Contrary to what was to be done until now, these photographs do not need to be enamelled at their launch.
The diaphragm aperture goes from 17,5 to 90 and is ordered by a built-in photometer (food by two batteries 1,5 V, standard AA). The exposure is correct when while turning the button of the shutter release the word “Yes” in the finder appears. The lens is a simple meniscus, the focal length being of 100 mm the shutter has only one speed, the 1/200 sec.
