Chronology of cameras Astre
The Chambre Carrée modèle M is made of walnut with a wax finish. The metal parts are made of copper. It is a double-extension design with a rack and pinion. The bellows are made of leather. The back is reversible, allowing for horizontal photo orientation. It is available in three sizes: 13 x 18 (No. 560), 18 x 24 (No. 561), and 24 x 30 (No. 562). If it is delivered with a curtain frame, it becomes 560 bis, 561 bis, and 562 bis, respectively. It was offered without a lens or shutter.
This brand belonged to Maurice Ledoux, the successor of EM. Target and Ledoux.
The Buckler lens brand was owned by Target.
