Chronology of cameras Pentax
Traduction de Manuel M
In 1976, in Photokina, Pentax continues to expand its range of K, in particular with K2, DMD, K1000, the MX and this ME, intended to seduce the amateurs.
It is an small reflex camera, automatic with priority with the aperture. The choice of the diaphragm involves the calculation of a shutter speed. The camera is deprived of manual mode and it is thus impossible to select a speed. Around the shutter release, there is possibility of choosing: A (automatic mode), 100 X (speed of synchro and mechanical speed functioning without battery), B (pose) and L (Lock). The exposure meter is activated only with position A.
In the viewfinder, the speed calculated by the exposure meter is indicated by lighting of a LED opposite speed on a scale. There is a reference mark of over-exposure and one of under-exposure.
There is a corrector of exposure of +/- 2 diaphragms.
There exists a version “Special edition” of this camera.
The ME Super will propose the manual mode which misses with this one.
