Chronology of cameras Ica
History of the brand Ica New window

If we consider Ica, Ideal cameras are part of the top of the range devices of the brand.
The body is made of wood and metal covered with leather, bellows are made of leather too, removable back through rotation are among the special characteristics of The "Ideal", which was then also found under the same name Zeiss Ikon.

This folding plate is one of the first 13 x 18 cm Ideal manufactured and has a fixed lens (Tessar F6.3 , 21cm), unlike the following the lens/shutter assemblies of which are interchangeable. All ideal cameras of the range, except the format 6.5 x 9, will have this feature.

Front with shift system, rear vertical tilt possibility, double extension bellows allow this folding to be used nearly like wooden heavier and bulky cameras : An ideal travel camera!
