Chronology of cameras Ansco

Traduction de DC

Kodak got a great commercial success with the cameras called "Brownie" from the name of the comic strip character created by Palmer Cox.

Ansco replied by launching on the market some folding and box cameras of different sizes named  "Buster Brown" from the name of the cartoon character created by Richard Felton Outcault in 1902. The camera shown on this page is the No 2 that produces 6x9 cm negatives using format 120 rollfilms. The model name is stamped on the leather handle. The camera body is made of wood covered with leatherette. The label plate on front is giving the name of the distributor Photo Plait.
