History of the brand Soule New window

Traduction de Daniel C.

Despite of bearing the nameplate "Optique - Photographie - Binda - 5, rue Nationale - Rennes", this 9x12 cm format camera has been produced by Soulé.

Except for the uncommon format, all the usual technical characteristics of the classic models are offered on this model, with rise and fall as well as lateral motions. The rear stand may be fixed at two positions on the baseboard by means of screw heads inserted in keyhole shaped openings. The fine focusing is made by a rack and pinion system. The body parts are made of waxed walnut wood and the metal fittings are nickel plated.

The Bausch & Lomb lens and the shutter fitted on this camera have been taken from an Eastman Kodak Camera.
