Chronology of cameras Effemme

This "Polaroid-backed ID camera" features an electronic shutter from 1 to 1/300, adjustable by a built-in cell when coupled with tungsten lighting, and four lenses. It could take 4 ID photos simultaneously or successively.

Made of aluminum, it was produced by a small company from northern Italy called EFFEMME. Some sources mention the beginning of construction in the late 1950s, which is far from the dates of presence in the Grenier-Natkin catalog and inconsistent with the use of Polaroid Pack 100. The camera bears the reference of two patents, 55571 A/70 and 55572 A/70. The numbering suggests, perhaps wrongly, 1970, which would be more consistent with the catalogs and the film used.

In France, distribution was handled by Dimaphot.
