Chronology of cameras Ilford

The Sprite 35 is a compact 35 mm bottom of the range, plastic camera, sold by Ilford from 1956 (it was worth 18 shillings and 9 pence in 1967).
A pivoting blade allows the choices between apertures f: 8, f: 11 and f: 16. This is the only setting. The flash was sold as an option. It requires a 22 volt battery. Two copper legs ensure contact with the body. The frame counter is reset by opening the housing. It is rather approximate because it indicates only multiples of 4.
The cocking lever also acts for the winding of the film and unlocks the trigger.
Sprite 35 was also sold in the United States under the name Wards Econo 35 by Montgomery Ward.
