Chronology of cameras Argus

This Argus V-100 is an Iloca Rapid IIL, German, which, to be integrated into the Argus range, underwent replacement of its original lens by a more American model. It was even available in two versions. One has a lens with a 2.8 aperture, the other one opening at 2. This is the second version, with wide aperture, which is presented here.

Montgomery Ward, in its catalog,is claiming it was exclusive.

Manufacturing is aluminum. The body is covered with leather.

The frame counter is located on the bulge located at the base of the lens barrel, just under the V- 100 inscription, which allows it to be easily read from above the camera by the photographer.
