The Ernemann Heag XII Model II (Ser. II) was produced between 1906 and 1922 in various variants and formats. This particular camera is from after 1911, and has plate size of 9 x 12 cm. It has double extension bellows and the body is covered by black leatherette. The external optical viewfinder and respective pointer pop-up ands retract automatically when opening and closing the camera. There is an additional viewfinder with a bubble level attached to the top left corner of the front standard.
It has a Cronos central shutter, delivering speeds in the range 1 to 1/160 plus Z (T). The lens is a Ernemann Doppel Anastigmat 'Vilar' of 135 mm of focal length and maximum aperture of 6.8.
