Chronology of cameras Phenix
The Phenix DC303N is a Pentax K mount SLR camera with manual exposure control.
The first copies of the Phenix DC303N left the Jiangxi Optical Instrument General Factory facilities around 1999.
UK distributor Firstcall Photographic Ltd has marketed the Phenix DC303K and Phenix DC303N from the second half of 2005 with respective introductory prices of 89.99 GBP and 109.99 GBP for sets including body, Phenix 50mm f1:1.7 standard lens and a leatherette case.
To justify this price difference, the DC303N features depth of field preview and multiple exposure in addition.
In May 2008 Firstcall Photographic Ltd still offered these bundles on its website.
As a complement to these base kits, Firstcall Photographic Ltd also offered a flash (reference PH280A) and 4 Phenix branded lenses in its catalog:
- a wide angle 24 mm f1:2.8
- a 28-70 mm zoom f1:3.4-4.8
- a 28-105 mm zoom
- a 70-210mm f1 zoom:4-5.6
The Phenix DC303N also exists:
- in black with inscriptions in white letters,
- in white with inscriptions in black letters.
For the gray version, the inscriptions are sometimes in black.
The Phenix DC303N was also sold under other brands: Braun SR2000 PK and Vivitar V3800N.
