Chronology of cameras Vivitar
The Vivitar V635 is a Pentax K mount SLR. Exposure is either manual or automatic with aperture priority.
For this model Vivitar got its supplies from Cosina, the Vivitar V635 being a rebranded Cosina CT90.
The red AF logo on the front of the top cover and similar to that of the Cosina CT90 serves as a reminder that while the Vivitar V635 was most often sold with manual focus lenses, it was also sold in a kit including a 28-70mm Vivitar lens f1:3.5-4.8 with "self-contained" autofocus: the batteries, sensor and motor are added around a standard manual focus lens base.
The Vivitar V635 is also available without this red AF logo. Nothing seems to distinguish the two versions which identiquely feature three AF contacts (visible on the picture, inside the body, in the upper part of the mount).
With the 3 golden AF contacts visible under the mount upper part.
