Chronology of cameras Voigtlander
Traduction de Manuel M
The Vito series of the Eighties does not much things of commun with that of the famous ancestors of the same name. With a point such as the manufacturer is not Voigtländer, but Balda. Balda made triple stroke, since the identical camera were found under the brands Voigtländer, Bauer and Balda.
The early product however was reserved for Voigtländer, because Vito C was introduced in 1980, at the time of Photokina, then that Balda C35 and Bauer Scout 35 appeared only in 1982.
There were also the Vito (impossible to date precisely) and the Vito CS (1983, idem with corrector of back-light and electronic self-timer of 10 seconds).
All resemble Minox 35. They use the same construction material, Makrolon, as Minox. The principle of the retractable lens is the same one.
There are two CdS cells located above the lens. If one is used in a usual way to measure the light and to control the programmed exposure, the other illuminates a signal “OK” in the viewfinder in the event of sufficient light or reveals a lightning , in the opposite case, thus require the use of a flash.
On Vito, the lens is a Voigtar 5,6/38 m, whereas on Vito C, it is about of aColor Skoparex 2,8/38 mm. This model would be thus, perhaps, the poor parent of the serie.
