Chronology of cameras Hanimex

This was a clever way of producing an inexpensive dual lens camera. The lenses are in a rotating turret like a movie camera. There are two bright line frames in the viewfinder, and when the ‘tele’ lens is rotated into position the little plastic pointer on the turret is visible through the viewfinder pointing to the inner frame. It was produced in at least three colours, bronze, burgundy and blue grey. If the viewfinder is accurate, the ‘wide’ lens is about 30mm and the ‘tele’ is about 40mm. i.e. it is not a telephoto lens at all, but a ‘normal’ one for the format. The combination of a normal lens and a moderate wide angle lens in a dual lens camera is unusual, perhaps unique. There is conflicting information regarding the actual focal length of the lenses and their construction.
