Chronology of cameras Ansco

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

Vest Pocket of Ansco is a little too large to hold in a pocket.
It acts more klapp that of a foldingcamera. It was manufactured between 1915 and 1927.

Its “built-in” lens cap is not its only interest. Its “Bionic” shutter allows speeds of 1/10 to 1/200 + exposures B and T and the apertures go from 7,5 to 32. The focusing is adjustable by a large serrated roller being behind the front face and which completely surrounds the lens with the junction with the bellows (it is the lens which advances or which moves back and not the bellows which are spread). On the side of the front part of the camera, a square window makes it possible to read the distance. Concurrently to this window is the shutter release. The film used is a 4A (120).

The positioning of the orders indicates that this camera is intended more for a horizontal use than vertical.
