Chronology of cameras Fed

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand.

Us here in the vast family of the copies of Leica! See also on this subject the page of Foca, Pontiac Lynx and other Fed.
Name Fed is the acronym of Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky, name of the founder of the Soviet secret police. Why this name? Because this name is also that of the town of Ukraine where these photo cameras are manufactured.
If first Fed (Fed-1) is a copy of Leica II and dates prewar, the Fed-2 goes back to 1955 (year of the stop of the manufacture of the Fed-1). It is about a telemetric camera with interchangeable lens. There are very many variants of this camera which was manufactured until during the 70s. The distinction of these variants seems to me a business of specialist. I venture myself with the greatest reserves with saying that the variant which I have is a type D. Speeds go from the 1/30 to the 1/500. The lens is Industar 26 M 2,8/52 mm.

Do not ask me what it applies to the shooting. It seems out-service.
