Chronology of cameras Voigtlander
This camera is the fourth model of the Metall-Klappkamera from Voigtländer & Sohn AG, assigned in Prochnow's Voigtländer Report 3 (pg. 697) as the model PR3611. It was delivered between 1911 and 1916. The Metall-Klappkamera was entirely made by Voigtländer while previous klapp models were built by Curt Bentzin. This specimen is the 13 x 18 cm version.
The camera opens automatically when unfolding the optical viewfinder, and has a frontal lock. The body, fully metal, is covered in black leather. The focal plane shutter delivers speeds in the range 1/20 to 1/1000 plus Z. The lens is a Voigtländer Kollinear II with 20 cm of focal length and maximum aperture of 5.4.
