Chronology of cameras Rancoule
Traduction de Dan Fromm.
The Rancoule Stado-Jumelle is somewhat a “Shadok” of a camera. Its primary function is to take 6x13 stereo pairs, but it can also be used as a stereo viewer and even as opera glasses.
The lenses are marked “"Anastigmat Symétrique 7,7 F=100 m/m J; Zion Opt Fab Paris N° 25238" (both have the same serial number).
Set up as a viewer. In spite of the large diameter eyepieces, the view is very poor because the lens board makes bringing the eyes near them impossible.
Set up as opera glasses: weak enlargement and a ridiculously narrow field.
