Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
This small strut folding camera was first manufactured by Ernemann in 1925, then after the merger into Zeiss Ikon, production continued until 1930 under the new brand. The name Bob was used a lot by Ernemann from 1900.
The Bobette, with the Unette, was the first 35mm camera in large series. It first used cinema film with perforation, then non-perforated film for a 22 x 33 mm negative format (code 692). From 1929, the indications in the catalogs give the format 22 x 31 mm (code 549).
It is a metal camera, whose oversized viewfinder is immediately noticed. It is covered with leather, except the front plate which is left bare.
The Bobette II is not a klapp, but a much more conventional folding camera in appearance.
We can notice similarities with the Ernemann Rolf I (although it is a folding camera), the body has the same structure, the same opening system
