Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon

The Sirene is a camera from the Ica brand, integrated under the Zeiss Ikon brand during the merger of several brands to form Zeiss Ikon AG. It is therefore normal to find this camera also under the ICA brand. At Zeiss Ikon, this model has successively had two namings, Sirene, then Volta.

The Sirene is available in 6.5 x 9 cm (135/3) or 9 x 12 cm (135/1) format. It is a simple camera, intended to attract young people to photography.

Usually this camera does not appear to be fitted with the Vario shutter but its presence on the model shown on this page may be the result of a special order from Photo-Porst.
