Chronology of cameras Certo

The Dollina and the Super Dollina are 35mm folding cameras, with the front face moving parallel to the main axis of the camera, and the struts mechanism having an X shape.

Their production began in Germany before the war, then continued in the DDR (East Germany) during the 1950s.

    Years Rangefinder Focusing

Dollina 0   c. 1937 No On the lens
Dollina I     Knob on the top
Dollina II c.1937-39 Coupled Knob on the top cover coupled to the rangefinder Rangefinder fixed on the top
Dollina III c.1937-39 Knob on the top cover coupled to the rangefinder Integrated rangefinder
Super Dollina c.1938 Side knob coupled to the rangefinder New design
Super Dollina II c. 1954-57

The Super Dollina II is the successor to the Super Dollina. It is manufactured after the war, while Germany is torn between two countries, two political regimes. Certo finds itself in the East, in DDR, where everything is planned, centralized. Factories are consolidated into VEB (People's Enterprises), gradually overshadowing the brands, but Certo manages to escape collectivism for quite some time. However, this policy is evident even in the name of the shutter, which is called VEBUR.
The top part of the Super Dollina has been redesigned, and the two film advance and rewind buttons have been slimmed down. The hood line is more understated, more modern. More significantly, there is now only one viewfinder window at the rear.

__________

This version of the Super Dollina II features a faster Synchro Compur shutter (1/500th of a second) compared to the Vebur.

It's worth noting, when carefully comparing the versions, that the term "Synchro Compur" is hyphenated or not depending on the variant.
