Chronology of cameras Photo-Plait

The Platoscope N°2 uses 12-exposure film-packs while the N°1 uses plate holders.
The body of the camera is made of walnut wood covered with morocco leather.
The lever located at the top right of the front panel allows to move in front of the lens a metal strip pierced with holes of different diameters, giving the choice between three diaphragm values. The round button at the bottom left is used to select the time exposure and the five instant exposure speeds.

The Photo-Plait catalog dated 1919 specifies that "The amateur can take 24 single views by alternately blocking one or the other of the lenses".

This small Jumelle type camera requires the use for long exposures of a flexible trigger cable of the screw and bell type.
