E. Barbier and G. Thierry are mentioned together in the photographic industry indicator of January 1929, for photographic cameras and accessories. From 1931, the business name becomes G. Thierry and Co, successors.
Starting from 1932, phonographs are added to the advertisements.
After 1934, nothing more is mentioned.
Barbier et Thierry present in their catalog a series of Chambre Touriste. The different models have a single letter as their name. These are large-sized cameras, but foldable, making them easy to carry while touring. Their use requires a tripod. The bellows are swiveling, allowing horizontal framing and double extension. The front part has double movements. They were sold without a lens.
Their general shape and the style of the hardware suggest a manufacturing by Soulè.
