Chronology of cameras Kleffel
L.G. Kleffel & Sohn was a wholesale and camera maker from Berlin that was in business from 1858. There is not much information on this maker and the cameras produced are a limited number of models and very rare.
The Reise-Camera, made around 1900, is a strut-folding camera also available in stereoscopic format. It was made for 13 x 18 cm plates and its design follows closely that of a field camera. The struts are external and the bellows red.
The shutter is an early Anschütz, non self-capped. The lens is a C.P. Goerz Doppel Anastigmat Series III/1 of 150mm of focal length and maximum aperture of 6.
