Chronology of cameras Junka

The Junka was produced by the company Junka-Werke AG Germany from 1937 It is a small size camera (85 mm long and 40 mm high), which uses special roll films producing 30 x 40 mm format negatives. It is provided with a 1: 8  45 mm achromatic lens. A small rod at the bottom of the optical block allows to use a reduced diaphragm (1:11). The shutter has a unique speed (about 1/30 th of a second) and the bulb exposure (marked with the letter Z). Using a cable release is possible.

This camera has a folding frame type viewfinder. There are variations with a Galileo viewfinder , the film advance knob can be either plastic or metal.

We may note the presence of a threaded  tripod socket .

To load the camera, remove the film winding button by producing a force upward (do not lose it!). Once the back is open, the film can be put in place after the two holders have been rotated.

Note that the brand Adox made ??from 1950-a very similar camera named "Juka"; it only lost an "N".
