Chronology of cameras Rollei
Traduction de Shelby Ring.
Rollei since 1970, started to delocalize its manufacturing, moving factories to Singapore, in order to lower costs. This is why certain models are marked "Made in Singapore". The XF 35 is one of those models.
The XF 35 is an automatic camera with exposure control and a rangefinder.
The shutter speeds range from 1/30 to 1/650 of second. The exposure is determined by a CdS cell, which we can see the window on the left lens. The combinations speed/aperture go from 1/30 at F:2,3 to 1/650 at F:16.
The shutter release has a rather original form. It is lengthened.
The lens is a Sonnar 2,3/40 mm manufactured by Rollei under license to Carl Zeiss Oberkochen. The rangefinder is coupled.
The values of the diaphragms and speeds appear in the viewfinder. A needle indicates speed and the diaphragm selected. A red indicator ignites in the event of under-exposure.
This camera uses a battery PX 625 for power.
