This medium-format camera allows the use of the 120 size films (15 frames) or the 220 size film (30 frames). It has a Fujinon 4/60mm lens. Its shape and arch of protection are typical.
It is the result of a range of 4.5 x 6 cameras including the GS 645 and GS 645 W.
The lens of the GS 645 S Wide is a 60mm lens (equivalent to a 37.5mm lens for a 24 x 36 size) opening at 4, composed of 7 elements in 5 groups. It is equipped with a coupled rangefinder and an automatic correction of the parallax. While the first camera of the range (the GS 645) was a real folding, the 645S (like the 645 W) is no more a folding. Unlike the previous models, a large arch protects the lens very well. In addition, many elements are the same as the GS 645 (lightmeter, viewfinder, rangefinder).
The GS 645W has a 5.6/45mm lens, true wide angle. The GS 645S Wide 60 is a little more versatile.
