First Rollei 35 appeared in 1966 was the beginning of a long line which was going to last more than 25 years.
Its compactness, associated excellent lenses, a reputation of solidity made a best-seller of it.
This one was bought in 1974, in Italy, and does not seem to have undergone since one small maintenance in 1984. Today, it always goes, as at the first day… if one has a solution of pile PX 625.
This model exists with several models of lenses, in black or chrome completion, manufactured in Germany or in Singapore.
Here, the lens is Tessar 3,5/40 mm, the shutter allows speeds of 1/2 to 1/500 second, more poses B. The advance of film is ensured by a lever located on the left, above the camera. The crank of rewinding is located below the camera. The lower part of the camera is well filled, since one also finds the claw for accessory there, equipped with a contact for electronic flash and the counter.
At the top of the camera, one finds the window of indication of the cell. The camera is semi-automatic; it is necessary to bring to coincidence two needles while exploiting the parameters of speed and aperture.

Rollei since 1970, started to delocalize its manufacturing planies in Singapore, in order to lower its manufacturing costs. It is what that one finds certain models "made in Singapore" in the series of mythical Rollei 35.
