Chronology of cameras Contessa-Nettel

To take in hand for the first time a Piccolette, is often to think that one (still) has just found Vest-Pocket Kodak. No doubt is allowed, first found its “inspiration” in the second. Even the circular, dorsal trap door is there. The only obvious difference is the prolongation of the plate before by a fixed foot and not by a removable crutch, as on Kodak.
Piccolette will have a long career. It appears in the catalogs Photo-Plait and Photo-Hall in 1922 and 1923, and is always present in 1931 (under the brand Zeiss Ikon). The shutter and the lens will follow the technical evolutions. In 1922, the version proposed has a variable focusingt. The version here presents does not have any, it is thus either bottom-of-the-range, or former.
