Chronology of cameras Huttig
This camera is easily identifiable because it bears a plate marked Hüttig AG Modell 1907 and the name Cupido is stamped into the leather handle and the bed.
Nonetheless, the shutter is marked Hüttig LLoyd, LLoyd being the name of several Hüttig foldings and we may find a very similar Cupido in the brand Ica. (Hüttig having included Ica it is understandable to find some similar models).
The lever above the shutter button allows to focus by moving forward or backward the shutter mounted on a helical ramp.
The spirit level attached to the block incorporating the adjustable viewfinders is rotatable to permit the horizontal or vertical position.
The camera body is made of wood and the bed is metallic, all giving the impression of quality.
This unit was sold by "Barthélemy rue St Louis et rue Neuve at Clermont Ferrand" (France).
