Chronology of cameras Summum
With the Summum cameras made by Leullier, quality is always at the rendezvous, but here it really is the ultimate!
All metal, this camera is an exemplary embodiment, covered with morocco and black lacquered front. This is a variation of the Model C, with a Compound shutter (No. 113 075) replacing the Compur.
The optical equipment is top quality: A pair of anastigmats 100 mm, which is a bit long for a 6 x 6 cm format. The engraving on the lenses suggests that they are carefully matched as a pair: "Pat 21872 E. Suter. Basel No. 33417-18 "" Anastigmat Série 1 F. 6.8 N° 0 F. 100 mm "with the Swiss cross ... The focusing is done by two helicals actuated by a large front lever in front of which we read the distance.
The viewfinder, which gives a very nice and accurate aiming is supplemented by a small spirit level to ensure the horizontality of views at the time the photo is taken.
The magazine is Jacquet type, with a rather slow handling, but providing a high reliability.
