Le Taron Auto SE est un appareil télémétrique à cellule au sélénium. Celle-ci est disposée autour de l'objectif. Son viseur est à correction automatique de la parallaxe.
L'objectif ouvre à 2,8. C'est un beau et solide appareil. Il sera remplacé, en 1968, par le Auto EL, doté d'une cellule au CdS. Contrairement au Auto SE, le Auto El sera proposé avec deux objectifs d'ouverture différente.
Ce compact a aussi été vendu par Amica sous le nom de Eyelux 28.
